Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Andrew Constance announced today the tender for a technical advisor for the Newcastle Light Rail.
The announcement comes a fortnight after new designs for the Wickham transport interchange were released.
“Make no mistake, we are getting on with the job of delivering these key revitalisation projects for the people of Newcastle,” Mr Constance said.
Tenderers must be able to demonstrate specialist experience in engineering, urban design and light rail systems.
Further consultation and the release of planning documents for the light rail are expected in late 2016.
