An online survey has been launched by Tamworth Regional Council to find out how the community is being impacted by flying foxes.
An estimated 80,000 grey-headed flying foxes call the city home, along the banks of the Peel River between King George Avenue and the CBD.
Residents are encouraged to complete the survey by September 11, so council can identify where the animals are nesting.
The information gathered will be used to develop a plan for managing the local flying fox population.
