GREENS CONTINUE PUSH DESPITE CSG BAN SHOT DOWN IN PARLIAMENT
A bill to ban coal seam gas mining in northern New South Wales has been shot down in state parliament.
The Green claim it’s a blow to the region’s farms and tourism.
But the Shooters party and Nationals who helped knock back the amendment in the upper house say banning the industry would open the government up to big payouts.
The Nationals argue they’ve greatly reduced CSG areas across the state since coming into power.
