A third Planning Assessment Commission hearing will be held regarding the Mount Thorley Warkworth mine.
Hearings took place last December and June over Rio Tinto’s modified proposal, which would see the mine’s life extended by 21 years.
Now Planning Minister Rob Stokes has ordered a third be held, after changes were made to state policy.
The two-day hearing will commence on September 7, in Singleton.
