CLARENCE VALLEY BUSHFIRE BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL

Almost 40 firefighters remain at a bushfire east of Grafton, which has burned through 3,500 hectares of land.
Crews from National Parks and Forestry Corporation are ensuring the large flames don’t skip containment lines.
The inferno originally started out as two separate fires, but they connected on Tuesday, due to strong winds.
The blaze is being treated as suspicious.
