MUM ON SCHOOL RUN CHARGED WITH HIGH RANGE DRINK DRIVING

A 42-year-old woman, who returned a breath test almost four times the legal limit while picking up her kids from a Newcastle school has been charged.
Officers stopped a Toyota RAV4 on Frederick Street at Merewether just after 3 o’clock on Monday afternoon, and the woman allegedly returned a positive breath test.
The woman, who had two young children in the car at the time, was taken to Newcastle Police Station where a secondary test returned a reading of 0.239.
She was charged with high range drink driving, and will appear in court next month.
Her licence was also suspended.
