VARIETY FREEDOM HOMES GOES UNDER HAMMER
A massive $185,000 has been raised for sick and disadvantaged children in Tamworth today, with the Variety Freedom House going under the hammer.
Built in just 12 weeks by a local company, the home is the first to be completed in the new Longyard Estate.
It sold for $520,000, with all profits from the sale going to the Variety Charity.
The money will assist sick children and their families through grants, scholarships and specialised equipment.
