Police have confirmed an 8-year-old girl from Valentine has undergone emergency surgery, after a dog attack at Lake Macquarie yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 3pm, where she was treated for serious injuries.
It’s understood the little girl lost her right hand and part of her forearm in the attack.
