SAD NEWS WITH PASSING OF KEN CLIFFORD

The former CEO of Hunter Academy of Sport, Ken Clifford has passed away after a long illness.
Mr Clifford worked tirelessly for the academy over 27-years,coordinating with state and national sporting bodies, local associations and schools.
Among his many achievements – establishing the annual Festival of Sport, as well as the Greater Scholarship Programme for potential Olympians, which has helped the likes of Thomas Fraser-Holmes, and Benn Harradine.
Ken retired from the Academy last year aged 72 and was undergoing treatment for brain tumours.
