SENSORY BLANKETS HELPING TREAT GOSFORD DEMENTIA PATIENTS

Gosford Hospital has come up with a creative way to help treat patients suffering from dementia.
Sensory blankets have proven successful in helping to calm patients, and the hospital is now calling on the community to get involved.
Sewing sessions take place at Gosford Hospital’s Carer Retreat, 21 Beane Street West, Gosford.
They run on the first Wednesday of each month, between 10:30am and 12:30pm, and the third Friday of each month, between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
Bookings are essential, and can be made on 4320 5556.
