The bodies of two men have been found on Stockton Beach, north of Newcastle.
It’s thought the men are from an eight metre yacht that was reported overdue, travelling from Broken Bay to Port Stephens.
The yacht left Sydney yesterday.
The Westpac rescue helicopter was called into the search at about 3.00pm.
The aerial search located one of the bodies, Police Rescue later located the second.
The men are believed to be aged in their 50s or 60s but are yet to be formally identified.
