MAIDEN WIN FOR PILOT MATT HALL

Newcastle pilot Matt Hall has broken through for his first win on the Air Race Series.
Taking part in the 24th event of his career, Hall flew third in the four-man final in Austria, clocking a personal best time.
“Currently final four first place. Thanks mate. Maybe, maybe.”
Having placed second to Paul Bonhomme twice already this year, Hall watched nervously as the series leader competed – with the Brit finishing a fraction behind his Aussie rival.
“Feels bloody good actually. Sometimes you can start telling yourself, it’s never going to happen, you keep missing opportunities.”
“I’ve done it now and now I can just get on with the job of racing planes.”
Hall remains second in the series standings with two rounds to go.
