The Port Stephens community has launched a scathing attack on the Department of Defence and the EPA, at last night’s heated public meeting, regarding contamination caused by fire fighting materials used at the Williamtown RAAF base.
The potential health impacts and why the community wasn’t informed earlier have been labelled as unacceptable by the public.
The consequences on commercial fisherman, who earn most of their income from Fullerton Cove is also a worry for locals.
