CANNABIS HAUL ON THE CENTRAL COAST
Police claim to have seized over $400,000 of cannabis on the Central Coast, after acting on a single call to Crimestoppers.
Officers from the Brisbane Water Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Bellevue Street, North Avoca, at around 3pm yesterday afternoon.
Underneath the house, it’s alleged police found a hydroponic cannabis set-up with a total of 83 mature plants.
Police say a further 899 grams of cannabis leaf was located in the home’s main bedroom and kitchen.
A 47-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Gosford Police Station, where he was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant, possessing a prohibited drug and supplying a prohibited drug.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Gosford Local Court on 13 October 2015.
