Opener Simon Norvill top scored, blasting 118 runs.
His top of the order partner Michael Rixon also hitting big, his score of 96 contributing to a partnership of 223.
In reply, Gunnedah could manage just 60, with English spinner Stuart Plant taking seven for eight.
While in the weekend’s other game, Armidale successfully defended its total to start its season on a high.
