It’s the toilet that has everyone in Taree talking and a proposed amenities block for Harry Bennet Park is now one step closer, after it was given the green light during last night’s council meeting.
It’s hoped the “loo with a view” will help attract more events to the Manning River banks.
“We’ve had architects work with us on the design and we wanted to embrace the river so there are actually mirrors in there so when you are sitting down on the toilet you can actually look out and see views of the river, but you can’t see in, Greater Taree City Council’s Sue Calvin said.
Work on the project is expected to be complete by summer.
