REPTON SCHOOL CELEBRATES 100 YEARS WITH FAIR

Repton Public School is celebrating its centenary with its biggest fair yet, this weekend.
100 years ago, the children of former timber mill workers were educated at the school on the banks of the Bellinger River.
The number of students has risen from 20 or so in the beginning to 62 students today.
A 95-year-old former schoolgirl will be the guest of honour at the celebrations.
“The School’s been a really important part of the community for the last 100 years, it’s a very well loved school, the community supports it in lots of different ways,” said P and C President Ian Nisbet.
The Centenary Fair runs from 9am to 2 pm on Saturday.
