NEW EMERGENCY SERVICES HEADQUARTERS IN QUIRINDI

Quirindi could soon be home to a new $5-million emergency services facility, if the Liverpool Range Rural Fire Service has its way.
A state-of-art-facility has been earmarked for the small town, which would house the RFS, the Volunteer Rescue Association and the State Emergency Service.
The precinct would become the new headquarters of the Liverpool Range RFS and also serve as a training centre.
A formal development application is expected to be lodged with council in the coming weeks, with construction likely to start in the new year.
