Hunter pilot Matt Hall has maintained second spot in the Air Race series, following the penultimate round in Fort Worth, Texas.
Hall began the day by losing his match-up against Britain’s Nigel Lamb, but still advanced thanks to his fast time.
He eventually made the final, where series leader Paul Bonhomme clocked 55.28 seconds.
The Australian came up just short.
“Will it be Paul Bonhomme or Matt Hall … fourth win of the season.”
The series now heads to Las Vegas, with Hall eight points behind Bonhomme.
“I could’ve won the championship without him making an error if I won both races, now he needs to make a mistake for me to win it.”
