A young man’s clash with a would-be armed robber in Coffs Harbour has been caught on camera.
Brandishing a knife, the teenage bandit entered a store on the corner of West High and King streets just before six last night, and demanded money.
But the shop owner’s 21-year-old son tried to grab the weapon and the teen, prompting him to flee empty-handed.
“Look police wouldn’t condone someone putting themselves at risk, obviously this offender was armed, however his actions did show some bravery,” said Acting Detective Inspector Ian Corcoran.
The bandit is described as caucasian, and was wearing a red and black hoodie.
