PAID PARKING A STEP CLOSER FOR TAMWORTH AIRPORT
Paid parking will soon be introduced in some areas of the Tamworth Airport carpark, after councillors awarded the tender for the supply, installation and maintenance of equipment.
SKIDATA Australasia is expected to start work on boom gates at a new entry in November.
Passengers will be able to park for free for the first hour, followed by a charge of $3 an hour, or $18 per day.
Meanwhile, stage two of the short term car park expansion, which will create an extra 110 bays, will be completed within the next two weeks.
Free parking will still be available 150 metres from the terminal.
