An elderly woman has been lucky to escape with her life, after her million dollar house went up in flames at Byron Bay early this morning. Firefighters were called to the property on Kingsley Lane just before 5 o’clock to find the timber Queenslander home well alight. The house is just one street away from a multi-million dollar guest house that burnt down two weeks ago. Police and Fire and Rescue NSW are working together to investigate the cause of the blaze.
