Work has started on Port Macquarie’s $700,000 skate park at Town Beach.
The old structure has been demolished to make way for the new skate park, which will come complete with landscaping and outdoor furniture.
Local skaters have been involved in the decision-making process, including the design of the new facility which will cater for skateboards, scooters, bikes and in-line skates.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council hopes the new skate park be operating in time for the summer school holidays.
