ETU BACK AT FAIR WORK COMMISSION
The Electrical Trades Union was back at the Fair Work Commission today to argue against Essential Energy and Ausgrid policy changes, which if approved would allow them to forcibly sack workers.
The union says it would be a breach of employment contracts.
More than 40 Essential Energy jobs have already been cut from the North West as part of phase one of its redundancies, while Bingara’s depot will also be closed.
A decision on the redundancy policies is likely to be handed down in the coming weeks.
