PEEL SCHOOL’S RUGBY LEAGUE CARNIVAL TO GO AHEAD

The Peel School’s Rugby League Carnival is set to return in 2016, following a successful annual general meeting last night.

The event was cancelled this year for legal reasons and a lack of referees, but Country Rugby League is coming on board to provide more help.

There’s a few changes for next year, including an open carnival to be played in March, followed by a secondary school’s carnival in May.

“That’s also going to include ladies league tag, which we’ve never had before, ladies league tag is one of the fastest growing forms of rugby league going at the moment.”
