POLICE ACT ON DRUG DRIVING ON NORTH COAST

The number of drivers charged with dug driving on the Mid North Coast is now double the state average.
As a result, senior highway patrol officers meeting in Coffs Harbour, say there’ll be more drug testing in the lead up to Christmas.
“Across New South Wales we see a figure of one in ten persons detected using drugs and driving motor vehicles, illegal drugs and driving, this part, the northern region of New South Wales, has a one in five figure, so again, disturbing to us,” said Assistant Commissioner John Hartley.
