We’re being urged to put our smart phones to good use this month, and take part in a nationwide koala counting mission.
From Friday, North Coast residents who sight one of the furry creatures can record it on a free phone app, as part of a campaign by the National Parks Association of New South Wales.
You can also log sightings on their website.
The data collected helps monitor koala populations, and improve conservation efforts.
