A massive boost for Merewether Carlton ahead of the 20-16 Newcastle and Hunter Rugby Union season,with news New South Wales Country openside breakaway Josh Stewart will join the club.
Stewart comes to the Greens from the Tamworth Pirates, where he won multiple premierships.
The former Country player of the year battled a tricep injury last season, but is expected to be fit for the pre-season.
