VRA CELEBRATES 40 YEARS IN TAREE

40 years on and still going strong, today the Volunteer Rescue Association celebrated four decades of service to the Taree community.

A public open day at their headquarters providing a sneak peak into the work of the VRA.

The organisation operates from Nabiac to Johns River, assisting emergency services with motor vehicle accidents, cliff rescues and even trapped animals.

“whether its the canary, or the cat or the cow or the horse we’re in it we are there. Everyone has the right to life,” The VRA’s John Chick said.

Today’s celebration also opportunity to thank the community for their assistance while encouraging locals to take up the challenge.
