PHILIPPA ANDERSON BUNDLED OUT IN QUARTER FINALS IN SPAIN

Merewether surfer Philippa Anderson has been knocked out of the 10,000 point world qualifying series event in Spain, in the quarter finals.
Facing fellow Aussie, Bronte Macaulay, Anderson was in control early thanks to a five and a six.
But Macaulay responded with a seven and an eight in the final minutes to claim victory.
Despite the loss, Anderson moves 21 places up the QS rankings to 22nd.
