EMERGENCY SERVICES SAY ‘NO’ TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Port Macquarie’s police, ambulance and firefighters today united, in a bid to stamp out domestic violence.
They’ve entered into a friendly challenge, to see who can round up the most entries for this Sunday’s White Ribbon Coastal Walk.
“We have the biggest trucks, the biggest people, and the biggest challenge, and I hope both your services can aim up to us,” FRNSW Mid-North Coast Zone Commander David Gray said.
The annual event in Port Macquarie honours International White Ribbon Day.
“For the first time, people can actually register online – s it’s a lot easier to be part of the walk, and we’re encouraging as many people as possible to be part of it,” Port Macquarie-Hastings Mayor Peter Besseling said.
