A new study has shown wild deer are causing at least $120,000 worth of damage to the Hastings each year.
The Wild Deer Working Group surveyed the community on its experiences with the pest animal – revealing the main concerns to be damage to gardens and the dangers they pose to motorists.
The results will be used to develop a management strategy.
