The Red Cross Blood Bank is calling on all Gold Coasters to roll up their sleeves and donate blood.
“Over the next five days, and we’re open Boxing Day as well, we’re going to need about 400 people to come into the Robina, Southport Donor Centres and the Donor Mobile down at Coolangatta.”
It’s a gentle reminder that the need for blood doesn’t take a holiday.
“And with the extra public holiday’s happening on Christmas and New Year’s Day, we really need to replenish stocks to make sure we have enough to supply patient needs.”
There’ll be special opening hours on Boxing Day, centres will be open from 8am until 3pm.
