WILLOW TREE PIPELINE SUFFERS SOME DELAYS
An unexpected discovery of rock near the New England Highway has delayed the progress of the Willow Tree pipeline.
The multi-million dollar project will eventually connect Willow Tree to Quirindi’s water supply, effectively drought-proofing the small town.
Construction started in September and was meant to be finished by Christmas.
Liverpool Plains Shire Council has been unable to say when the project will be completed, as the pipe-laying method has had to be re-designed.
