FIGHT OVER FOR ROSEANNE BECKETT

The fight is finally over for wrongly-jailed Taree woman, Roseanne Beckett, with the Baird Government agreeing to pay her more than $4-million.
A court awarded the damages a fortnight ago for two counts of malicious prosecution, and today the government announced the money will be paid soon.
Ms Beckett spent 10 years in jail after being wrongly convicted of plotting to kill her husband.
Attorney-General Gabrielle Upton says it’s an extraordinary case, and after 26 years, Ms Beckett deserves the right to move on.
