SPUR WALL WORKS BEGIN AT MANNING POINT

Dredging operations will get underway over the next couple of weeks to replenish the gap between the spur wall and shoreline.
Coastal erosion has caused the wall to detach, prompting serious concerns about the protection of the township in the case of a flood.
3,000 cubic metres of sand from the Manning River will be used to help address the problem.
The works are expected to be complete in early December.
