Save Our Rail has lodged an application to have the Court of Appeal’s judgement set aside, after it ordered the group to pay the state government’s legal costs.
The court found Hunter Development Corporation didn’t need an act of parliament to close the city’s heavy rail line between Hamilton and Newcastle.
The matter has been set down for mention next Monday.
