A 36-year-old man will face Newcastle Local Court today, after police allegedly found an improvised explosive device, at a home in Boolaroo yesterday.
It’s alleged police also found two .22 calibre rifles and a small amount of ammunition, during a search of the home on Fourth Street.
Police Rescue went to the address to make the device safe.
The man was arrested and charged with two counts of intimidation and firearm offences.
