A truck driver has made a lucky escape this morning, after rolling his semi-trailer on Davidsons Lane at Moore Creek.
Narrowly missing a power line and a resident’s fence, the driver got out of the cab without injury.
“He’s moved off the the side of the road to allow a smaller private vehicle to go past and as he’s moved over the side of the road has dropped away into the drain,” Glenn Willsallen, Tamworth Fire and Rescue.
The vehicle was carrying thousands of dollars worth of hay…most of which was salvaged.
Fire and Rescue say it’s a timely reminder for motorists to heed safety messages.
