WALCHA ON LEVEL THREE WATER RESTRICTIONS
Walcha’s water woes continue, with the village now placed under level three restrictions.
Council says the Macdonald River’s supply is deteriorating and if there’s no rain soon, water will be sourced from an off-creek storage dam.
It’s issued a reminder to residents to be water-wise and reduce their daily consumption, which is sitting at more than 300-litres per person, per day.
The Shire could face level four restrictions in coming weeks.
