The Bellingen Braves have received a strong a response, following a call out for more players for a men’s side to compete in the Waratah State League.
Last week’s trials at Bishop Druitt College attracted 20 players from across the region and selectors will now look to choose the final team on February 1.
Junior boys and girls under 12’s and 14’s will also trial for team selection on January 29.
While the under 16’s and 18’s already have a strong squad, trials will be held next month to fill remaining positions.
