POTTSVILLE DEFEAT ALSTONVILLE IN LANDSLIDE VICTORY
Pottsville thrashed Alstonville, in an otherwise close round of the Far North Coast Cricket competition.
Alstonville could only manage 86 in response to the home side’s 213.
Meanwhile, Lennox Head just beat the Cavaliers, while Cudgen couldn’t chase down Marist Brothers.
Elsewhere, Ballina went painfully close to defeating competition leaders, Tintenbar-East Ballina.
Despite Justin Moore and Sam Burdock scoring 94 and 72 respectively, the Bears just ran out of overs.
They finished with 226, five runs short of the 231 needed for victory.
