A light plane crash has left one person dead and another seriously injured near the Gold Coast.
The vintage Tiger Moth came down shortly after taking off from Pimpama.
The passenger died at the scene – while it took emergency crews more than half an hour to free the pilot from the wreckage.
He was airlifted to hospital in Brisbane with severe spinal injures.
