A man involved in a bizarre police chase involving a car towing a caravan in Coffs Harbour on Sunday has been arrested.
Highway Patrol officers abandoned the pursuit on Sunday after the 33-year-old Sandy Beach man drove erratically through the town which saw six patrol cars attempt to stop him.
The man first came to the attention of police after he allegedly stole two cans of energy drink for a local supermarket.
He was arrested at Hungry Head this morning and was refused bail.
