MAN INJURED IN EXPLOSION AT TOMAGO

A man has been flown to the burns unit in Sydney after he was badly injured in an industrial accident at Tomago today.
It’s thought the worker, aged in his 30s, received burns to his face and upper body when an oxygen cylinder exploded at a galvanising business on Old Punt Road.
A medical team transfered the patient to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter base in Newcastle from where he was flown direct to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital.
Full details tonight at 6pm.
