• In breaking news, the Westpac Rescue helicopter is searching for a missing yachtsman, who was last seen near Broughton Island off Port Stephens.
• Meanwhile, more than 25 people have been rescued from properties in and around Newcastle as downpours continue across NSW
• In Raymond Terrace, around 30 properties have been evacuated as floodwaters continue to rise, with the SES warning people to avoid the area unless absolutely necessary.
• Residents have returned to homes in Dungog after evacuation notices were issued on Tuesday night to about 10 streets in the town.
• Parts of the Pacific Highway have been closed, with motorists urged not to drive through floodwater.
• More than 200mm of rain has fallen in less than 24 hours along parts of the mid-north coast and weather experts say the relentless

falls will likely continue until Thursday.
