RAIN EASING ACROSS THE HUNTER
Heavy rain across the Hunter is easing, but the SES is still urging people to take care when driving around rivers and to avoid driving through flood water.
Across New South Wales, the organisation received 2,136 calls for help, with the majority of jobs relating to roof damage and inundation.
625 of those were in the Maitland, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas.
The SES has also carried out 33 rescues, including four last night.
An evacuation order for six streets in Raymond Terrace is still in place, as is an evacuation warning for another six streets in the suburb.
