SECOND TEEN CHARGED OVER SERVICE STATION ROBBERY

Police have charged a second teenager, following an armed robbery at a service station at Wyong.

Just after 11pm on Sunday, three teenage boys entered the business on Amy Close, when one of them allegedly threatened a 47-year-old female employee with a firearm.

The trio then fled with some cash.

On Tuesday, police searched a home at Watanobbi and seized a gun for forensic examination.

Officers returned to that home yesterday afternoon and arrested a 16-year-old boy.

He was later charged with robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon.

A 14-year-old boy has also been charged with the same offence.
