An off-duty female police office has been charged with drink driving after returning a positive breath test early this morning in Belmont.
Police stopped a vehicle on the Pacific Highway for a random breath test at 12.30 am.
The driver, a senior constable from Norther Region Local Area Command, allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.074.
She was arrested and taken to Belmont Police Station, where she was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice.
She is due to appear at the court on Wednesday 27 January.
