There’s a new kid on the block in the increasingly popular cruise line industry in the Hunter.
Azamara Club Cruises pitches itself as a “boutique” brand and this morning sailed into Newcastle for the first time.
The 686 passenger Azamara Quest arrived in Newcastle around 8am. Its passengers will spend the day around Newcastle and the Hunter before leaving for Sydney tonight.
The cruise line has been around since 2009 and operates smaller vessels, which the company says, “are able to go places other cruise ships can’t.”
Passengers will be treated to a fireworks display on Newcastle Harbour tonight as they depart.
